Renata Bonczar

   Dear Sirs

(...) Renata Bonczar does not belong to any school in regional, verbal or classification meaning. She goes it alone and pays attention in a less degree to commonly blessed search but she finds more often. That found she develops, improves and ennobles after one 's own mind and she " allows" it to mature like a wine. The adage:
"Art does not tolerate the haste" completely refers to the works of Renata Bonczar.
The authoress has the splendid brush-work. Now a days it is very important because almost in all over the world it is said again about "kitchen of painting" value (...)
Renata Bonczar during her study - a few years ago - had a try at "rehabilitation" of a workshop and this is where I perceive the fundamental separateness of her art of painting. The artist, through her family connection and commune with technology (her husband-Adrian Poloczek - is one of the best Polish conservators), introduces in a natural manner such elements to her painting which, in spite of modern and formal
expression, placed them splendidly in the spiral progress of art as professor Jerzy Nowosielski wants.
Some expressional occurences appear in the same points and they relate to their great predecessors but on the different levels.
It makes that the painting of Renata Bonczar harmoniously belongs to progress and development of art basing on the continuation with one's tradition.
And these are only my reflection because I leave the interpretation to YOU. In my opinion it is no good to undergo to optical impression that the pictures of Renata Bonczar imitate nature: the Sky, the Earth, Water, Stones, Trees. After close study with those pictures we can find ourselves e.g. as the outward, substantial signs in reconstructive zone of dream: We may feel such anxiety which we think about reincarnation: I was here, I experienced it before then, there was a time when I thought so...
Those pictures will lead us into "a landscape" of the soul and reason and to cast of the truth about the eternal discrepancies existing in human being.
It so happens that a rough geological structure - Some Kind of Earths, Stones and Trees force and entrance into the atmosphere of warm and lyric Hankering, hot Passion or golden Eternity (Calm) - majesty.
It is not, of course, a notation of the external transformations or disharmony of nature but it is an internal arrtiythmy of the pictures.
It is rational struggling with the excitements of an analytic observation and with the irresponsible sentimentality of woman's arcana. And yet all this is already brought to a standstill and impressed on time, matter and plane.
Enchaining the inner frame of mind on her pictures Renata Bonczar accomplishes the toilsome effort about which Canetti said: "it is most difficult to rediscover the best-known truths".
