Leszek Misiak
He was born on 1943 in Brzeźnica. He graduated from Fine Arts Academy in Cracow and obtained his diploma in 1968; currently he is a professor working at his maternal university. His works prove extraordinary sensitivity and the artist's favour of sublime and harmonious colour sets what highlights his strong connection with the Polish art group "Committee of Paris". He took part in many exhibitions in Poland and abroad; he had several individual exhibitions organised e.g. in Cracow, Bydgoszcz and Zakopane. He received many awards and rewards in art competitions e.g. the second prize in the graphics competition "Woman" (1975), The Best Graphic of the Year, Cracow (1974), the prize of the Minister of Culture and Art (1986). His works can be found in the collections of e.g. National Museum in Cracow and Szczecin, Art Nuseum in Łódź, Wyczółkowski Museum in Bydgoszcz, Górnośląskie Museum in Bytom, Museum of Modern Art in Skopje, Portland Oregon Art Museum, Gewerbamuseum in Winterthur (Switzerland), Musee d'Art et d'Histoire in Fribourgh and private collections in Poland and abroad.
